Applesauce Dumplings

Hungry for something sweet and there's nothing in the house? Try this simple to whip up apple dessert that requires no apple peeling!

  • 3 cups unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Place in a medium nonstick saucepan over medium heat.

  • 1 cup reduced-fat Bisquick mix
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup skim milk

In a medium bowl, combine just until moistened. Applesauce should be boiling by now. Remove from heat and drop 6 even-size dumplings onto applesauce.

Cover and return to heat. Simmer 12 minutes. Serve warm.

  • 2 cups fat-free vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt

Top each serving with 1/4 cup scoop of fat-free ice cream or frozen yogurt.
